Debanttalrunde
On this beautiful loop at marathon distance in East Tyrol, we visit some of the most popular hiking and excursion destinations near the Lienz basin. By linking several themed and high-altitude trails, we create a unique tour within the Hohe Tauern National Park, mostly staying well off the beaten tourist path.

Freiungen Höhenweg
A great and very varied loop with fast runnable start and end and a beautiful, technically-demanding alpine middle on Freiungen Höhenweg.

Long valleys of Karwendel
Long and fast loop through the long valleys of Karwendel National Park, allowing us to move fast through some of the most remote terrain Tirol has to offer.

Traverse over Gilfert (2506m)
The Gilfert is a broad panoramic summit in the generally mellow Tux Alps. Just as it’s a popular ski touring destination in winter – as already featured here on the blog – it’s also an easily accessible summer peak from nearly all directions. We take advantage of this with a north-facing loop, crossing the summit from northeast to northwest, making it an ideal sunset tour during the summer months. The starting point is Hausstatt at the Hüttegg lift in Weerberg.

From Wattens to Geier (2857m) and Lizum Reckner (2886m) and back
A long and mostly very runnable loop through two valleys close to Wattens. Good for training long stretches of running.

East Karwendel loop with Lamsenspitze (2508m)
A great loop through east of Karwendel range, with steep uphills, technical downhills and a beautiful optional summit of Lamsenspitze along the way.

Gamsroas – 10-Summit Loop
The Gamsroas is a fantastic loop in the Kitzbühel Alps, covering several mostly non-technical summits with stunning views and plenty of runnable terrain.

Toblacher Kreuz (2305m) from Lake Antorno
A nice loop starting from Lake Antorno that runs all the way to South Tyrol, with amazing views of Tre Cime and other beautiful Dolomite peaks.

A low altitude Achensee loop
A great loop around Achensee, avoiding the main ridges and taking a lower route through the mountains. Great for early in the season.

The Serleskamm
A varied route with opportunities for peak-bagging south of one of Innsbruck’s most famous viewpoint mountains.

The Hohe Fürleg (2570m) Crossing
A technical ridge crossing a bit off the beaten path across the Karwendel front range, crossing the summit of Hohe Fürleg and many others.

The Arnspitze Traverse
A classic technical traverse on the boarder of Austria and Germany crossing the ridge around Arnspitze.

The Elmauer Halt and Elmauer Tor Loop
HIghly technical loop through some of the best scenery of Wilder Kaiser mountain range - over the summit of Elmauer Halt and back through Elmauer Tor.

The Schnapskofel
A season closing event connecting all the huts between Patscherkofel and Glungetzer and drinking schnaps at each stop.

Guffertspitze (2194m) West Ridge
An amazing technical ridge on the West Ridge of Guffertspitze, with a lot of technical scrambling and silent solitude

Two summits from Maurach: Bärenkopf & Ebner Joch
A runnable round close to Achensee with two interesting summits and beautiful views of Inntal and the lake.

Naunspitze (1633m) South-west Ridge
A short loop good for late autumn days, climbing to the summit of Naunspitze with a little technical ridge in the last part before the summit.

The “Munde Runde”
A round starting from Zirl and traversing across the Hoher Munde massive from west to east. A great technical route with amazing views over Inn valley.

Schöberspitzen & Jochgrubenkopf loop
Beautiful loop in Schmirntal over two summits and a mountain lake. Due to its western orientation, it is ideal for a sundowner.
