Mittlere Schwenzerspitze (2882 m) from Obergurgl
A short-and-sweet 2900er above Obergurgl with a big-mountain backdrop.
Linker Fernerkogel (3277 m) from Mandarfen
The Linker Fernerkogel in the uppermost Pitztal is a classic glacier ski tour suitable for almost the entire winter season. The traverse with descent via the “Hängender Ferner” is best done in spring conditions.
K2 (3253m) from Mandarfen
Classic Pitztal spring ski mountaineering via the Löcherferner glacier with a short summit bootpack and a long 1600m descent back to the valley.
Essener Spitze (3200m) from Obergurgel
Essener Spitze (3200 m) ski tour from Obergurgl: a classic spring ski mountaineering route via Ferwalltal and Ferwalljoch across the Granatenferner, finishing on a scenic summit ridge.
Rostizkogel (3375m) from Mandarfen
A proper ski high tour above the Rifflsee: big, open glacier terrain, a surprisingly “quiet” 3000er experience next to the heavily frequented K2, and a huge panoramic summit plateau with views toward Wildspitze and the Taschachferner.
Große Keilspitze (2739 m) from Dolomitenhütte
A true alpine ski adventure through a stunning south-facing couloir onto the second-highest peak of the Lienz Dolomites
Glungezer (2677m) and Sonnenspitze (2639m) from Halsmarter
Super accessible (and therefore busy) tour close to Innsbruck. When the snow is good it is worth your time.
Padasterkogel (2301m) from Trins
A classic Trins ski tour with a varied forest climb and a wide-open descent playground - capped by a quick ridge stroll to the Padasterkogel summit view.
Kraspesspitze (2954m) and Weitkarspitze (2947m) through west couloirs from Kühtai to Haggen
This is the “proper” Kühtai-to-Sellrain classic: climb from Kühtai into the high basin, tag Kraspesspitze, then keep the day going with the Weitkarspitze add-on before dropping all the way to Haggen. Really nice day out on a firn day.
Krovenzreib’n from Lager Walchen
An adventurous loop through the central Tux Alps for strong and well-conditioned ski tourers, with potential for excellent powder descents.
Steinmandlspitze (2347m) from Fernpass
A quiet ski tour away from the Fernpass crowds: first a surprisingly peaceful valley approach through the Kälbertal, then—once you reach the Galtberghütte—big open bowls with lots of options. The summit gives a proper panorama toward the Lechtal Alps, Zugspitze massif, and Mieminger Kette.
Archbrandköpfl (2058m) from Inzing
A classic “safe choice” above the Inn valley: a clear line through forest lanes and light woods, opening up only near the top—then suddenly you’re standing on a quiet viewpoint with a huge panorama. It’s popular exactly because it stays relatively protected and straightforward even when conditions are touchy.
Tullenkogel (2552m) from Assling
A mellow, sunny ski tour above the Pustertal that’s perfect for a shorter winter day, mixed-ability groups, or “let’s just go enjoy ourselves” conditions. The ascent is surprisingly scenic, and the payoff is a wide-open summit with a wooden cross and a big panorama toward the Lienzer Dolomiten.
Ochsenkopf (2148 m) and Bärenkopf (1991 m) from Pertisau
An exciting loop starting right at Lake Achensee.
Rosskopf (2305m) from Scheibe
A promising mid-winter summit on the edge of the Kaunergrat, featuring open ski terrain, clear line choice, and an impressive panorama. Rosskopf, also known as Kreuzjoch, is a subsidiary peak with an ideal location for a winter tour. From the starting point in Scheibe, the ascent leads via the Arzler Alm and then over open slopes to the summit. Particularly impressive are the views to the east across the entire Geigenkamm range with the Hohe Geige, as well as to the southwest toward the imposing Rofelewand and the Gsallkopf.
Steinernes Lamm (2528m) from Schmirn
Easy ski tour from Schmirn via the Wildlahn Valley – scenic alpine route with Olperer views.
Nördlicher Klammerschober (2448 m) through Mölstal
Beautiful tour with a longer, flat valley ascent. Great option for bad conditions day, when steeper tours might be too dangerous.
Rappenspitze (2223 m) and Lunstkopf (2142 m) from Pertisau
An engaging loop in the eastern part of the Karwendel mountains. Like its larger siblings to the west, this tour begins and ends with a long, flat approach.
Vorderer Wilder Turm (3177m) from Franz-Senn-Hütte
Starting from the winter approach from Seduck to the Franz-Senn Hut (+7km and 700vm), this demanding ski mountaineering tour leads via the Verborgener Bergferner Glacier and the striking Turmscharte notch to a panoramic three-thousand-meter peak with an interesting technical summit in the central touring area of the Stubai Alps.
