Peter-Anich Weg
Technical difficulty: 1/10
Fitness: 5/10
Objective danger: 0/10
Landscape: 2/10
Busy: 6/10
A low and runnable loop for rainy days in Inntal.
Starting point: Ranggen
Ending point: Ranggen
Length: 26km
Vertical: 1000m
Speed: mostly nice and runnable trail.
Route:
Start running out of Ranggen south-west, looking for the signs for Peter-Anich weg. Once we find the trail, we follow it continously north/north-west along the mountain side. It varies between trail, forest road and paved road through the villages. We run through the villages of Muhltal, Hattingberg, Pollingberg and by Flauring until eventually reaching the edge of Oberhofen im Inntal.
From here on, we turn around. We leave the Peter-Anich Weg and head parallel to the way we came but closer to the Inn river. We run through Polling in Tirol, Toblaten, and on the edge of Inzing. After Inzing, there is the most interesting and technical section of the trail.
To make the finish interesting, we finish up with an uphill back to Ranggen, climbing through a small river valley until eventually seeing the village up on the hill above us.
