Technical difficulty: 6/10
Fitness: 4/10
Objective danger: 3/10
Landscape: 7/10
Busy: 2/10

A scenic ski tour with nice skiing and the impressive Olperer as a backdrop.

Starting point: Wildlahner
Ending point: Wildlahner
Ascend:
1000vm / 3h
Exposition:
north-west

Route:

From the parking area, the route starts immediately to the left across a meadow next to the stream, leading to a large avalanche gully on the left side, which you ascend following the summer trail. After passing through a sparse forest, leave the path at the corner where it exits the woods and traverse diagonally to the right across the steep southern slopes of the Schönlahnspitze (up to 2120 m).

After a short while, you reach flatter terrain, and from there continue heading right across a saddle. On the north side, descend through a small basin and then turn right into a notch (,540 m) between the western and eastern Schöberspitze. This is the ski depot.

From there, follow the summer trail again, climbing diagonally left up to the ridge, then turn right to reach the summit with a cross.

Descent:

Same as ascent. Alternatively possible to ski down in the parallel valley south of the ascent route.
